Submit a complete manuscript: title, all authors with affiliations, abstract, and a full reference list. Experimental work should follow the usual introduction, methods, results, discussion structure.
Every submitting author confirms that all co-authors know about and agree to the posting. Research involving human or animal subjects must name the approving committee, the approval code and the date.
Include a conflict-of-interest statement, or the explicit sentence that none exist. Include a data-availability statement.
Before posting, consider two things: posting counts as public disclosure for patent purposes, and a small number of journals decline manuscripts that have been posted. Check your target journal's policy first.
