A posted preprint is part of the scholarly record and cannot be completely removed. Withdrawal is exceptional and considered only for author misconduct, a serious scientific error a new version cannot fix, or a serious concern readers must be alerted to.
A withdrawn preprint keeps a public, dated notice stating the ground. Complete removal happens only for legal reasons - a court order, copyright, privacy or public safety.
When your work is published elsewhere, tell us from your author page. The preprint then points every reader to the version of record, and the link travels into the DOI metadata.
