Editorial Policy

The journal follows COPE guidance. Editors handling a submission from their own institution or a recent collaborator recuse themselves and the submission is reassigned.

Corrections, expressions of concern and retractions are published as dated, permanent notices linked from the original article. The original is never silently altered or removed.

We accept preprints: posting to a recognised preprint server before or during review is welcome, and does not prejudice consideration.
