About the Journal

The Journal of Applied Computing publishes peer-reviewed research on computing applied to real problems - in industry, in the sciences, and in the public sector.

We favour work that is put to use: system descriptions with measured outcomes, applied algorithms evaluated on real data, and rigorous negative results that save others the same effort. Purely theoretical contributions are better served elsewhere.

The journal is quarterly, fully open access, and published under the Technology Fist editorial umbrella. Every article carries a registered DOI and is deposited with Crossref on publication.
